During my career as a psychotherapist, I have successfully worked with persons who were experiencing:
You can choose between having your psychotherapy face-to-face, virtual or over the phone.
IN-PERSON
My main form of exercise psychotherapy is face-to-face. This is the original form of psychotherapy and I work with individuals, couples and families. In these meetings we may talk about you and what you are concerned about. Regular sessions have a duration of 50 minutes and take place at my office on a prior appointment basis.
OVER THE PHONE / ZOOM
Due to the current busy lifestyle and the great distances, it is sometimes difficult to attend an in-person therapeutic process. In these cases, the technology helps us. The remote sessions have the same duration as the in-person meetings. The day we set our appointment, I will ask you for the phone number where I'm going to call for your session. This modality I only recommend it for individual therapy, not for couples or family therapy.
I provide ordered counselling to individuals facing criminal charges and convictions. This service aims to rehabilitate the client and reduce the risk of reoffending.
I work with cases of
I work with the client to help him/her cope with past trauma, abuse or mental health concerns.
A report and/or Confirmation of Attendance can be provided upon successful completion of a program of counselling. Pre-Sentencing Reports (PSR) are not available.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through psychotherapy and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Cross-cultural misunderstandings or conflict may arise whenever there are cultural backgrounds in a couple. There could be differences in verbal and no-verbal communication styles, different attitudes toward conflict, different approaches to completing tasks, differences in decision making styles and different attitudes toward disclosure. In therapy we can work to improve the couple's communication and to grow in understanding each other.
Couples therapy can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship or to help them to separate in the best way possible. Therapy sessions are held with both partners and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship or to know how to separate without hurting unnecessarily.
Self-Esteem is an individual's subjective evaluation of their own worth. Self-esteem encompasses beliefs about oneself as well as his or her emotional states. Self-esteem allows people to face life with more confidence, benevolence and optimism, and thus easily reach their goals and self-actualize.
We live in times where the idea of masculinity is confusing. People make fun of stereotypical male traits, but what is a healthy masculinity? I help men to embrace non-stereotypical male roles. A man must first touch his power and then decide how to use it in nurturing, caring and loving ways.
