Men often perceive asking for help as shameful or consider it a sign of weakness. Therapy for men’s issues was designed for a male to vocally express his concerns, doubts and feelings.
I have worked with men to develop their intimacy, control their anger, cope with career and work stresses, manage addictions and self-esteem and confidence.

Men are sometimes raised in environments where they cannot experience emotion. They try to control or avoid emotions. Sadly, all what it's repressed comes back with furry and eventually leads to more problems and more difficulties in our relationship with ourselves and with others. That conflict can be expressed in our mood, our reactions and our sexuality.
Some men struggle with the expression of anger. Anger in itself is not a problem as it is simply an emotion, however the way we express it can be destructive. But said that, I imply that anger is an emotion that can also be used to build, grow and prosper. We just need to learn how to use it in our benefit.
For many people, but especially men, career and work are extremely important to them as it is where they get a deep sense of identity, fulfillment and purpose. Because of that these stresses can impact his performance, his relationships and his personal well-being in general.
I always say that behind of any addiction, there is some pain that can be physical or emotional. Because of that old stereotype that men should be "strong," we may not address those pains. That's why we can develop substance addictions (alcohol, drugs, tabbaco), sexual addictions (pornography, impulsive sexual behaviours) or eating disorders.
Many times a toxic concept of masculinity, makes some men feel that they need to fulfill certain social objectives, making them feel not good enough. Some may feel both embarrassed and ashamed of themselves as a man. This archaic idea of masculinity can negatively impact mens choices, developed sexual issues, make them feel isolated or lonely and certainly, affect their relationships.
Whether your relationship is falling apart or your family is having a hard time getting along, counseling can help you make your relationships better. Your marriage can go through ups and downs due to various issues like conflict, resentment, lack of trust, transitions, intimacy issues, miscommunication, and infidelity. To help couples and even families overcome these issues, I offer psychotherapy that helps each partner in a relationship find better ways of responding to each other. I have worked with many couples in strengthening their connection and intimacy.
All families are beautiful but often our relationships with spouse, siblings, parents, or grandparents, seem overwhelming. The communication problems, arguments, and disagreements within the family may cause stress and impact your happiness. This is where psychotherapy sessions can help in bringing peace to your relationships and life.

I have worked as a psychotherapist, counsellor and professor for more than 20 years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, as well as a Master’s Degree in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario (CRPO)
During all my years of practice of psychoanalytical psychotherapy in Toronto and other cities, I have found that useful to have a third party with the professional training and the personal life experience that can help us to see our challenges under a new light.
My experience as an individual counsellor and as a marriage counsellor has led me to develop a technique that creates an environment of freedom and safety to express your challenges. Psychotherapy for me is the possibility to question every option, have the freedom to consider the possible outcomes and consequences of our actions and to have the time and space to decide what can make you happier, prouder and fulfilled as a human being or as a couple.
I think that self-knowledge is the main strength that we can have as a person and the key to enjoy life fully. I have been in different countries, with different cultures and different languages and that has made me realize that it is possible to face challenges and problems in different ways according on how you would feel safer and confident in doing so.
My wish is that every person can live his or her own life fully and freely in his or her own terms. I want to share that wish with you.
